What can you expect?

I always like to start with a first research based on the data provided to get an overview of what can be found. During this research I already start digging up information and lay the groundworks. This first research usually takes me several hours and has a fixed price of €45 (which is approximately $50). After that I will let you know what I have found and we will discuss how to proceed further. I always like to work with a financial limit so that you won’t have any bad surprises on your end. The hourly fee is €30 (about $34), but experiences have shown that in about 10 hours a lot of work can be done and profound information can be gathered. There still might be additional costs for the archives, etc. But the limit is entirely up to you. Payment may be easily provided via Paypal.

In order to find your ancestors, I will do everything that is necessary. I use the regular search possibilities like the internet, church books, community lineage books, archives, etc., but I also call private people in the area who might be related. As I have experienced, many Americans like to find living relatives in the area and I will try everything to make that possible.

My work will include a document with all the information gathered usind the Kekulé numbering system. Furthermore I will attach copies of old documents which I may find and will translate them from the old German writing into German and English. If you have already existing documents, I am happy to translate them them for you aswell. If you like, I can edit the pictures aswell as they often look quite bad. Here is an example of before and after the editing.

I promise you a thorough and comprehensive search and I won’t provide you with any information that I am not happy with. Furthermore, I will keep you updated on everything I do and find during the entire process, so you always know the status of the search.

For me it is always nice to have a personal contact with you, because it gives me a better idea about you, your family and your history. Furthermore I believe that a personal contact builds up trust on both sides and makes the entire search process a pleasant experience.
